I just not stop thinking how 50 men’s read the msg and did nothing… they have not gf? Not mother? Not sisters? How can this be even normal? Yes 7 did it but 50 stay silently. I have 5 brothers, all of them think the same. My father even say “they should be judge too”. I just see every day world go fucked even more. I don’t know why 50 men’s stay silently, but I hope none of them stay silent to be “cool” too. Because this is nothing to be proud about ;(

We cannot assume all 57 are guilty.. for example my freshman yr I was in the closet “straight boy” and joined frat… I never once responded to the group chat or attended many events in person & dropped out the next year. If that would’ve happen at my frat I hope I wouldn’t been held responsible for just being in the chat. I would’ve never allowed that to occur and would’ve reported that message. As for the guilty parties and the main 7 please arrest them all immediately!!!! What a vile act and vile of Cornell to do nothing.

I have 2 adult sons, one was in an SEC fraternity. We literally have had these conversations since they were preteens. They once were young and called a classmate “hot” and with a friend in the car I ripped them a new one- I reminded them that women aren’t there to be objectified. It takes years and years of showing and talking about respecting yourself and your values.

I had this conversation months ago with my 10 year old. Before I even knew about the Cornell 7. I thought it was kind of early but now I don’t regret it at all. “How would you feel if someone hurt YOUR sister?, if you see something, SAY something! If you’re intimidated, call 911. People ALWAYS have the right to change their minds”. Idc if it’s your bestfriend or your family. People will always know that if Noah is there, they’ll be safe!
