ad If you’ve never been to the Dolomites, I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. From sunrise hikes, hidden swimming spots, crystal clear lakes & some of the most incredible mountain views I’ve ever seen… this place genuinely feels like another world. The itinerary we followed in short was as follows along with some hopefully helpful info: Flights/car: We flew into Venice & hired a car for the week (highly recommend as it gives you the freedom to explore). Our route was Venice → Dobbiaco → Santa Cristina → Venice. Day 1: Passo Giau & Cinque Torri hike Day 2: Lago Di Braies sunrise, hidden wild swim spot & Cortina Day 3: Cadini Di Misurina sunrise & Tre Cime hike Day 4: Lago Sorapis & Cascate Di Fanes waterfall Day 5: Seceda & Alpe Di Siusi sunset Day 6: Ortisei & Val Di Funes sunset Day 7: Lago Di Carezza before flying home A few things worth knowing: - Start early or begin late to beat the crowds! Afternoon thunderstorms are also common. - Book parking & cable cars in advance for the popular spots! - Bring cash for mountain refugios - A credit card is needed for car hire deposits The trip cost us around £3,000 (£1,500pp), including flights, luggage, car hire, accommodation, petrol & food. We did choose some nicer hotels, so this can definitely be done cheaper. One thing I didn’t expect was just how many photos & videos we’d take also. Every viewpoint felt like another moment we wanted to remember, so having extra storage with the @sandiskeurope SanDisk® Extreme Fit™ USB-C® meant we could keep capturing without worrying about running out of space.
