You have knowledge. You have a talent. You have a skill. You have a business. You have a story. You have something you can teach. You have something you can create. But nobody knows because you are sitting at home with it. Why? “I’m shy.” “What will my friends say?” “My family will laugh at me.” “People in my area will start talking.” “They’ll say, nowadays you’re doing TikTok.” AND SO WHAT? Sometimes we give too much power to people who are not responsible for our future. You cannot keep postponing something you genuinely want to do because you’re afraid somebody will have an opinion about it. Start the TikTok page. Show your products. Teach what you know. Document your journey. Talk about your profession. Show your craft. Share your ideas. Build your personal brand. Create ordinary, useful content. Your first video doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t even have to go viral. IT JUST HAS TO EXIST. Because if you never expose your work, how will the person who needs it discover you? A customer could discover you through one video. An employer could discover your expertise. A collaborator could find your work. Someone could recommend you. A community could gradually form around what you know. A business could begin from an audience you didn’t have six months ago. There are no guarantees that one video will change your life. But the video you never post has zero chance of opening a door. And remember this: YOUR CONTENT IS NOT REALLY FOR YOU. It is for the person somewhere who is ready to watch it. Ready to learn from it. Ready to buy from you. Ready to connect with your idea. Ready to benefit from your knowledge. So stop asking: “What will people who know me think?” Start asking: “Who might need what I have to offer?” Ghana youth 🇬🇭, social media isn’t only somewhere to watch other people’s lives. IT CAN BE WHERE YOU START BUILDING YOUR OWN. Stop consuming everything. CREATE SOMETHING. Stop hiding. SHOW YOUR WORK. Stop postponing. PRESS RECORD. POST IT.
