@amy_santoro: He made that argument to try to get a directed verdict, to try to get the case dismissed. He made similar arguments at the end of the prosecution’s case in Chief. That argument is common place. It is made by every defense attorney at the end of every presentation of evidence in every criminal trial in America. Reddington is just making it for the third time. #truecrime #lindsayclancy #massachusetts #crime #law
Working at forensic is not the same as being an licensed attorney. Just saying.

I really wish this trial wasn't done publicly. The public isn't very educated on the justice/legal system and all of this just proves it on every side of the argument.

Lindsay didn’t do it so she’s factually innocent, but she was also in psychosis so she didn’t realize Patrick killed her kids before he left the house and the psychosis was so deep that he left her alive to Jedi mind trick her into believing she did it. But Red masterminded a trial strategy to slowly show her that she didn’t do it. But he prepared a NGRI defense so she could still continue to seek millions of dollars in damages against her treaters. Because he can’t get her off before she monetizes the death of her kids by claiming she did it even though she didn’t. AMY, WATCH THE TRIAL

Procedural moves aren't admissions. Bifurcating a case, or even exploring a plea, is strategy, not a statement about guilt. Defendants weigh risk, sentencing exposure, and the toll of another trial, and a plea can be a rational choice regardless of what happened. Here, the act itself isn't really the contested issue. Criminal responsibility is, and a jury couldn't resolve it. Reading a confession into legal maneuvering is speculation, and I'd rather watch what the court actually does.

BUT What everyone can’t understand is Why wasn’t it ever investigated? There’s stories all the time of husbands setting their wives up for months, years, making them think they are crazy.. ( NOT saying he did) BUT what If? Being there wasn’t an investigation just going by his word. That’s what’s so hard to comprehend regardless..

I think both things can possibly exist at the same time. I’m bummed you’re right about this because I was so ready to argue about the stipulation, but you are correct. But you have always rode haaaard for PC and I don’t really get it. There truly is no physical evidence that Lindsay committed the crimes. If it’s all so obvious, why couldn’t the prosecution pull it off? I’m pretty certain Reddington went into this case thinking the majority would find her guilty … so the prosecution truly failed. Unless they have a ton of information in their back pockets, I don’t see a future trial going much differently especially if reddington can actually argue her innocence with FACTS such as the body temp, phone records, etc. I’m not saying PC did it, I’m not saying LC did/ didn’t do it… but you’re oversimplifying it.

it's genuinely painful seeing how many people cannot separate fantasy from reality. just because so many crime shows and books have lots of twists and turns and lots of characters solving the plot through emotional hunches and "instincts" doesn't mean that's how it always is in real life.
