Have a certified aluminum welder cut it out and rebuild it. That’s extremely fatigued high tensile aluminum. It’s not normal aluminum.

With how many times it looks like thats been repaired I'd just replace that bed. I bet theres stress fractures all throughout that area, not to mention going through that many heat cycles can cause its own issues. Source: I worked in NDT and in aerospace welding

That hydraulic cylinder looks looks like the ones I put together. If you can see the tag let me know if it says Custom Hoist.

i would run 1/2 in plates on the sides and 3/4 on top for the most strength and use A325 bolts to attach it to the alumnium

run a beam across the top from the bed side to bed side

I would suggest to be able to put it in the inside, and have some wings on the inside below the BED! That will prevent the bolts from ripping the aluminum. Because it lifts from below. Not the sides of that hood
