Do what works for you- and you get more TikTok content right? I always do a FaceTime 1st after a phone call. Some guys catfish, most others there’s no chemistry/connection, some showed up drunk, or too flirty, some were felons or DV crimes, or PDF, 2 showed up with no pants or shirts. . Fewer IRL dates but better quality men. I never pay for the dinner date, some bring flowers or pay my valet.

I see both sides of the coin. No Facetime for me. We can message back and forth for a week (or even 2), asking every question under the sun, that is individually important to each of us. After that is done, if we both feel a mutual connection, we meet. I would rather share personal information that is only pertinent to the evolution of a friendship/ relationship vs giving out my personal contact information right away. I've done that in the past and honestly, I feel like I was talking to a bot or a scammer. I say that, because they never contacted me and I started receiving a plethora of spam calls and texts.

well, ill chime in. Riki, I absolutely love your enthusiasm. Face time.. maybe. I go just a bit different. having not been on any dates recently (over a year) ive found many that 'try to connect' meet my mental firewall. why? 73 attempted connections have been all been fake. Yes, 73 just in the last year alone, and sadly not one here locally (red flag, check the phone numbers given and search it) so, to ensure that I'm speaking to a real person to even begin with, just a little research, (facial recognition software thats free) and paying attention the fakes can be weeded out easily. Lack of followers, or the number of following is 4 times that than who they followed back, look at the dates on their photos, if they're in quick succession or within a week of each other, yup, fake. once thats noticed, then do some facial recognition seaches. Yandex, Google Lense are very reliable, etc. So its not that real people aren't out there, its been so flooded with fakes mo matter the platform, its just easier to stay alone.
