This mimics auth. It intercepts authentication tokens/session IDs, etc and you can replay it back to the API to trick the app to think it’s authenticated. That’s all it does, it doesn’t make a copy of the app or whatever this video is making it sound like.

Basic mitm there’s no way peop’e are going crazy over this, also any skilled developper would take measures with certificate pinning, encrypted payloads and some high entropy measures to avoid people reversing any of those
