Being with your partner 24/7 is UNHEALTHY. If there’s no space for yall to actually miss each other and trust that’s a big issue.

No matter the rules people will cheat if they want to. So either you trust them or you don’t. Control ain’t it.

I am so thankful for my partner for being patient. I learned it the hard way. I have to have a life… like he is not my life. I also realized that I don’t want a partner like me before because I was so toxic and I have anxiety whenever he goes out without me. When there is no signal, I was overthinking too much. Yeah, if he treated me the way I treated him, I would’ve broken up with him bc that was suffocating.

I honestly never realize how toxic people are about relationships until I come onto the internet it’s wild what people believe and how they think they are not insecure

Exactly just let each other know so they know who u are with. If u can it’s better that u still update each other here and there during the hangout. And after it u can kinda give a summary of what u did and what was fun, etc. just like a conversation not like a report obv.

People truly believe that once you’re in a relationship, you’re supposed to become one person😭. They’ll literally lose themselves and force each other to close themselves off from the outside world in the name of “assurance”. Like yes, some habits and behaviors will change once another person is involved, but you should still have who you are OUTSIDE of that relationship. Whether it’s friends, hobbies, or even alone time.

I’m surprised by these comments. I think it’s healthy as fuck to do things seperately. You’re still supposed to be your own person. Have your life separate from your relationship. If you don’t trust your partner to do that, then you shouldn’t be with them.

Some of these comments are codependency dressed up as devotion. You can love your partner with your entire heart and still enjoy going out with your friends wo them. There’s value in spending time with diff people, hearing diff perspectives, learning new things and having experiences that are your own. Your partner cannot - and shouldn’t be expected to - fulfill every social, emotional and intellectual need you have. Independence doesn’t make a relationship less loving.

If you can’t trust your partner then don’t date them. Why drive yourself insane, or turn excessively controlling?? Just stop the relationship.

Yall forget trust is one of the fundamentals to a good relationship so now if you have a problem with him/her being elsewhere without you then you likely shouldnt date

And if you do not trust the person you’re dating to be alone with their friends, do you really want to be dating them?

Exactly and they don’t need to be constantly texting you or calling you while you’re hanging out with them ❤️

People disagreeing with this are going to be in for a rude awakening when they are no longer with their partner don’t know how to exist anymore. It’s normal to have hobbies and friends outside of your relationship. That’s healthy! Relationships don’t always work out… and if you’ve isolated yourself for someone else… it’s even harder to recenter yourself after!

Omg these comments are killing me. A person can’t even make a statement about how it’s healthy and ok to still hang out with your friends and folks just need to go out their way to bring up outlier scenarios…. “Only if they’re not toxic friends”, “yea as long as it isn’t every single day”… what is wrong with yall?! 😩😩😩😩

The healthiest relationships will always be the ones where you have separate lives as well as a shared life. Should you prioritize your partner? Of course, but there are no circumstances where your partner being your entire life is healthy
