Here’s an easy way to remember the basic rules of perspective: 1-point perspective: Your horizontal and vertical edges stay parallel. The edges going into depth converge toward one vanishing point. 2-point perspective: Your vertical edges stay parallel. The other two sets of edges converge toward two different vanishing points. 3-point perspective: All three sets of edges converge. Even the verticals eventually meet at a third vanishing point. So as you move from 1 to 2 to 3-point perspective, you’re progressively removing sets of parallel lines. 1 point: horizontal + vertical stay parallel. 2 point: only vertical stays parallel. 3 point: no sets stay parallel.
