@indigohousevirginia: We traded the daily grind of corporate jobs in a beach town for the pursuit of a new dream – one rooted in southern hospitality and sharing a good many things in the Blue Ridge Mountains with new friends. It all started in 2017 when the frustrations we encountered in our own travels inspired us to create a design-forward bed & breakfast that caters entirely to dog owners. We had an idea at the time: sell everything and travel the country to get clarity about our future. My husand Kyle was completing his Master’s in Aerospace and I was working for a tech company. But I've always wanted to run an inn and he’s wanted to be his own boss. We could feel something brewing… We stumbled into Charlottesville unexpectedly and quickly realized this was a perfect location to consider starting our business. From the award-winning craft beverage scene to hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains, there’s a never-ending list of fun to be had. The valley encompasses everything we love and are interested in – where better to build a business? So we uprooted our *everything* to build and run our own dog-friendly bed and breakfast.
