In 2021, I was training alongside Team GB with one clear dream - to become an Olympian. But life had other plans. After losing my daughter, my heart pulled me away from that dream and onto a different path. A path of pain. A path of solitude. A path of sacrifice - not for glory, but for purpose. What followed wasn’t about sport. It was about showing how far I’d go for her. How much the cause meant. How much suffering I was willing to endure to honour her name and fight for a brighter future for children with cancer. That path took me across mountains, oceans and continents. Gruelling ultra-endurance feats and some of the world’s toughest survival endurance races. Kayaking 1,000 miles from Canada to Alaska, unsupported, through the Arctic Circle. And becoming the first person in history to run, cycle and kayak the length of Great Britain back-to-back. More importantly - it helped raise millions for The Azaylia Foundation 🧡 And now… I feel it. The pull to bring that dream back to life. To take my daughter with me to Mount Olympus - the 2030 Winter Olympics. I’ve set big goals before. I’ve never shied away from a challenge. But chasing the Games at what will be 40 years old may be the biggest one yet. To Team GB - I wish you nothing but success at these Games. And to my brother Joel Fearon flying the flag for Jamaica - I hope it’s everything you’ve worked for and displayed so far. Love. Strength. Blessings. And maybe… just maybe… I’ll see you on the ice in four years’ time. 🫡
