@farmerjessjones: Nap time with my herd 🐴🥰 I love seeing my horses choose to sit so close to me 🥰 what a problem to have 😂 In my herd of 10, there’s 5 horses who regularly like to sit this close - Rocky, Trouble, Rhythm, Lyric and Phoenix (Maverick wants to be in that list too, but rarely gets the chance to be in the inner circle). I always have to watch where they plonk their bottoms 😂 I often get asked how I resist cuddling them. My approach with my training has always been to let my horses come to me on their own terms, when they’re in their paddock. Our partnerships are built on mutual understanding, respect and a lot of love. This time in the paddock translates to more confident horses under saddle, as they look to me for guidance. I’ve had some amazing naps like this over the years. Each nap always feels like magic because it’s such a beautiful display of trust ❤️ horses lay down for deep REM sleep when they feel safe. I am so proud of the trust I’ve built with my beautiful herd 🐴✨ I hope you can feel the love, peace and calm in this moment.
