@starseedstudiomarket: One of the ways I teach about plants is through the relationship between roots, herbs, and flowers. This is my personal framework for understanding them. It’s how I’ve come to work with plants, and how I teach others to begin thinking about them. 🌿 ROOTS CARRY MEMORY. Roots are underground. They anchor the plant, connect it to the earth, and hold the foundation from which everything else grows. So when I work with roots, I think about memory, ancestry, foundation, protection, stability, and things that have been established over time. Roots are deep work. They remind me that not everything needs to happen quickly or on the surface. Sometimes we’re working with something that has been there for generations. 🌿 HERBS CARRY INFORMATION. Herbs are the working body of the plant. They grow, adapt, interact with their environment, and move through the world. So I think about herbs as carrying information, communication, movement, action, intention, and direction. What are you trying to move? What are you trying to attract? What are you trying to send away? What are you trying to strengthen? This is why I don’t teach people to simply memorize, “This herb is for money” or “That herb is for love.” Money HOW? Are you attracting an opportunity? Keeping what you have? Getting paid? Removing an obstacle? The intention matters. 🌸 FLOWERS CARRY HEALING. Flowers open. They attract. They reveal. They bring beauty into the world. So I often think about flowers in terms of healing, attraction, beauty, softness, opening, receiving, and becoming. Not every working has to be forceful. Sometimes healing means creating enough space for yourself to open again. 🌱 ROOT. HERB. FLOWER. Memory. Information. Healing. And sometimes your work needs all three. Maybe you’re doing ancestral work while protecting yourself. Maybe you’re trying to attract something while healing from what happened the last time you had it. Maybe you’re building something new while breaking an old pattern. That’s when plant work gets layered. And this is why I encourage people to stop treating plants like one-word definitions. A plant isn’t just a random ingredient you throw into a jar because somebody on TikTok said it was “good for money.” 😂 Please. Learn the plant. Look at how it grows. Look at the part you’re working with. Learn its traditional uses and associations. Understand what you’re actually asking it to participate in. I don’t want you to just memorize herbs. I want you to learn how to think with plants. This is my framework. This is how I understand the plants I work with. For me, it’s not about having the biggest herb collection. It’s about knowing why you’re reaching for what you’re reaching for. Know the root. Know the herb. Know the flower. And most importantly… Know what you’re asking them to help you do. 🌿🌸#magic #hoodoo #herbalism #spirituality #glamourmagic
