My first manager scheduled me for 39.5 hours to keep me “part time” so I just took a really long time closing every week and went “over” my time every night. After 6 weeks of doing this, I contacted HR directly and told them my weekly average is 41 hours (it was) because it ran off the time clock recording, not the schedule. They did a little digging to prove what they needed to and then put everything through for me to be full time, health insurance and everything. They told my manager it shouldn’t be an issue to schedule me for an extra half hour bc it was clear they needed my time anyways. He was PISSEDDD

I think working 5 days a week should legally qualify as full time... even if you aren't working 8 hours each day, your full day still revolves around that shift

When I worked retail, my manager schedule everyone to work 6 days a week under 40 hours. I said absolutely not and I was the only person with two days off during the week still made my hours
