@mississippibrief: Now out of all the things we could use six billion for, we get another data center smh. 🙄 A new $6 Billion, 2 million square foot data center is being planned for Jefferson County by Eagle Rock Partners and developers claim the project will create 200 permanent jobs and 1,000 temporary construction jobs. Because the site is on private property, developers have more leeway to build what they want but residents are already questioning the potential negative impacts including water usage, higher utility bills and noise. Jefferson Davis is one of the poorest counties in the nation and apparently the folks in charge believe a data center is the solution. You really can't make this stuff up. #ourpower #CVpriority
