I like to think that Baelor chose actual Valyrian names for his sons, but that have never been used by any Targaryen before. He did that so, when Valarr became king (and if Matarys went on to be king after him), neither would have to deal with past legacy of kings before them, either good or bad; they would be able to make their own legacy without any pressure from the ones that came before.
