Tony is a Doom variant 100%. It makes way too much sense and would completely recontextualize the MCU. “I see a suit of armor around the world.” My theory is that the Sacred Timeline is special because it’s the one reality where the man who becomes Doom instead becomes a hero. And I think Strange knew Tony had to die. Out of 14,000,605 futures, maybe Tony surviving eventually leads to Doom. Even in the deleted Endgame scene, Strange is the only one who doesn’t kneel. Everyone else was mourning Tony. Strange knew he did what he had to do.

the only way i’d be okay with this is if our tony was never supposed to be tony stark and he is a variant of victor von doom, a lot of people probably won’t like that but i think it could be great if done right

Perhaps Doom has already done a mindwipe on 616 and us the audience, and inserted himself as Tony. The real 616 Tony looks completely different.

I totally get your concern but I'm just trusting that the Russos got this 😭 They haven't disappointed us in the MCU yet so I'm banking on them having something up their sleeve. Adoption theory is the only one out there that makes sense with everything we know as of rn

Coy you always talk about how the MCU is one big experiment. All they’re doing is defying expectations and doing something never been done before which is exactly what we praise the MCU for. That connective tissue linking years of projects. Liking the finale of the infinity Saga to the multiverse Saga and its conclusion. Some very great writing. Like Game of Thrones, One Piece level story telling.

I just believe, it like a payback to iron man and rdj, but this time differently that instead of starting off as rdj as iron man, and that moment made it the start of the MCU, doing it but with Doom forging his mask, it’s to mark the end of the MCU but ending it with someone who started the whole thing, RDJ but as Doom. since of the rumor that we’re getting like a soft reboot to the MCU. I don’t believe Tony and Doom have any ties to each other and I believe they’re not gonna do that to us that Tony and Doom do have a sort of connection but differently.

If they genuinely mean to keep them separated then it's definitely building up to a joke where someone from 616 says something like "S-Stark?" and he'll get mad because on his earth people (especially Reed) would mock him for looking like Tony Stark (an inferior inventor in his view) And all of this is just to build up hype and theories and then it's just that joke

So cap saw Loki when he went back and I’m pretty sure Loki would of told Steve what would of happened for Steve to come back and tell falcon “no I dont think I will” with a smile on his face… makes no sense lol 😂 why didn’t he tell them what happened

i feel it takes away from that conclusion wrapping it all up. if doom is his own character then that cheapens things for me. its a "i cant find anyone to play this so let me go to a safe zone" n quite the cashgrab for me. recycling actors just shows a lack of creativity. Zachary Quinto would be cool imo

I think it’s less to do about connecting Doom and Iron Man and more to still connect RDJ as the characters. He forged the past and is now forging their future. The future of Doom. Basically, Iron Man is the past and Doom is the future.

Would you rather in doomsday that they say that stark was a doom variant and that becomes an actual relevant plot line throughout the movie with Doom having his mask off a lot OR the mask stays on but RDJ plays an iron man variant in secret wars who’s exactly like our iron man and has a fight scene with himself I guess 😭
