@TJ MTHI.... :
After settling the vehicle for that 9yrs term you find out you have paid roughly 600 to 700k and the value of the vehicle is below 100k,sad reality.

but if your financially literate you would know that at the end of the finance term the value of the asset would not be at zero chances are it would be slightly higher or lower depending on the brand and the quality of the car. further to that you can trade it in for another new car. Who wants to drive a old car any ways in tye name of "it's paid off" ? financial literacy is important.

NANO ENTERPRISE AND FARMING :
But R102000/12=R8500. Normally the banks do allow you to pay the Baloon separately during this 7 years period. Which if is R8500 over 12 Months we can still divide it by 12 and we will R 708,40 pm. So it's still manageable. I just when we give financial advises we only look on one side.
However method is repayment are many.

Just remember that you will be paying interest on the balloon / residual value. Best advice is.. don't buy what you can't afford... especially depreciating assets...

I always asked for the balloon payment to be included in my monthly premiums, yes monthly payment a little extra, but the you are done at then end of 6 yrs.

You forget to mention that it save you the pain of monthly higher installments. I cant go in and buy smaller for the plans I have, so I opted bigger. and use RV to ease on installments and to manage with daily cost of life
