I think with wounds there's always an odour you can't explain it's good that they're keeping you in another day just to make sure everything is fine and that the bruising is compression and not a hematoma you're doing great ❤️

Breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth. The ball/indicator should rise. ****Try to keep the balls in the recommended range rather than sucking in as hard and fast as possible.
