@thelucyspace: In 2025, I had $45K I could’ve used to buy a new car. Instead, I used it to buy 2 rental properties from my laptop, on my couch, after my kids were asleep. Both properties are nearly 2,000 miles away, and I’ve still never seen either one in person. There’s nothing wrong with buying a nice car. But I started looking at every big purchase differently: Do I want to spend this money on something I have to keep paying for, or put it into something that can start paying me? So instead of upgrading my car, I upgraded my assets. These rentals are now part of my financial independence strategy because they have the potential to do two things at once: • Generate cash flow I can use today • Build equity and potentially appreciate over time That’s the kind of asset I’m looking for: something that can pay me while I continue to own it. No flipping houses. No quitting my job to become a full time landlord. No flying across the country every weekend. Just intentional, repeatable wealth building that fits into my life as a working mom. And yes, I bought both properties remotely. 🏠 DM HOUSE and I’ll send you my FREE weekly real estate investing newsletter. Every week, I break down one actual property analysis + one mini investing lesson to help you learn how to evaluate deals and build your own real estate portfolio. #financialindependenceretireearly #outofstateinvestor #realestateinvesting #rentalproperties #wealthbuilding
