Healthcare jobs “went” to women. No, they went out and got them. Degree or not. Nothing stops men from doing the same

Looking forward to the male led movement to help non graduate young men develop the caring and empathy skills needed to work in care/healthcare or be the primary stay at home parent. Men are already welcome in these areas, when they have the necessary skills.

ok but there needs to be some responsibility for their actions and their lack of critical thinking and not realising that they need to change

I agree that all professions should encourage inclusivity but why are we ignoring the 2nd graph which shows low-educated women as still earning much lower than low-educated men? The playing field isn't yet level and yet we are trying to help men maintain their advantage

It’s more that a lot of jobs want a degree, even if it’s irrelevant to the actual job.

Tell this to the tradesman that i have paid my life savings too to fix my house. They make more in one job than our household income for 2 working profesionals. There are pathways but you have to be willing to work hard and be resilient and not blame females and migrants for the issues that you face. its your own goverment and yourselves that has let you down.

I mean… AI is coming for the white-collar jobs so everyone should be trying to learn a trade or get a start in something like healthcare?

Then why is there such a deficit of labour in the construction industry in the UK? Construction work generally pays above or at the UK average and it teaches not only (a) skill but a degree of competence. Those things provide the status that younger man can lack otherwise.

And yet there is a shortage of tradespeople in the UK, and they all seem to be doing pretty well for themselves. There are options if you can get the training.

I don’t think women are dismissing that men are having a hard time, I think we’re just saying that it’s not our fault/our job to fix it for them.

we're all having a tough time, not only men don't want to acknowledge women's hardship, somehow they feel entitled to our understanding and support. So who is listening to us? who is supporting us? when do men ever get to be the leaders, providers and protectors they claim to be?

In the UK the issue tradional University is bankrupting them. There degree just gives them debt and so many applying for so few jobs your degree is irrelevant. Then there are crippling repayments.
