Braised Short Rib Dinner 😍 • • Ingredients: • 2.5lbs beef bone-in short ribs • Olive oil, for searing • 4 carrots, chopped • 4 celery stalks, chopped • 1 yellow onion, chopped • 2 tbsp tomato paste • 1 tbsp beef bouillon base • 1¼ cups dry red wine (I used Cabernet Sauvignon) • 3½ cups beef broth • 1 tsp onion powder • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1 tsp all-purpose seasoning • ½ tsp smoked paprika • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce • 4 sprigs thyme • 4 sprigs rosemary • 1 garlic bulb • 2 bay leaves Mashed Potatoes: • 1 lb golden potatoes • 1½ cups heavy cream • ¼ cup unsalted butter • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1 tsp onion powder • ½ tsp seasoned salt • ½ tsp black pepper • 2 tbsp chopped chives Broccolini: • Juice of ½ lemon • 3 tbsp unsalted butter • ½ tsp salt • ½ tsp black pepper Braised Short Ribs: 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Pat the short ribs dry and season generously with salt and pepper. 2. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the short ribs on all sides until deeply browned. 3. Add the carrots, celery, and yellow onion to the same pot. Sauté until softened, making sure to scrape up all the flavorful browned bits from the bottom. 4. Add the tomato paste and beef bouillon base. Mix well with the vegetables and cook for a few minutes. Then pour in the red wine and mix well, allowing it to reduce by about 25%. 5. Add the seared short ribs back into the pot. Pour in the beef broth, then season with seasonings and add the rosemary, thyme, garlic bulb, and bay leaves. 6. Cover the pot and bake at 350°F for 3–3½ hours, or until the short ribs are completely tender and falling off the bone. Red Wine Reduction: 14. Strain the leftover braising broth and transfer it to a saucepan. Simmer until reduced and slightly thickened. 15. Remove from the heat and whisk in 3 tbsp cold unsalted butter until smooth and glossy. 16. Serve the short ribs over creamy mashed potatoes with the lemon butter broccolini. Drizzle with the red wine reduction and enjoy! #fyp #shortribs #dinner #DinnerIdeas #recipesoftiktok
