we need this discussion over several beers , as KB said , with Shai & Dan we could have gone down the Zach Merret path , that’s worked brilliantly for the Bombers , but say you manage to persuade them more nicely than that do we build another StKilda , they are brill against bottom four sides, they might finish 8-10 next year but nobody expects them to be a serious contender , not enough really good players, they pay considerable overs for TDK and then look like losing Marshall as a result of that , yes we are in a world of pain but so too Bombers & Saints with their rebuild strategy , will the tigers strategy work ? who knows , but it was clear and decisive so i thank them for that , go Tiges

me too Kev , they are surrounding these 1st and 2nd year players with VFL rated players .win 2 games percentage of 60 odd .... next year will be worse . I just don't see improvement in the current list

Not concerned. They can draft more young talents this year and then also start bringing in some A grade, experience and role players to complete the team for the next few years. They need a bit of luck sure. But at least they have Campbell, Lalor, Hotton, Cummins and co - players who could form the nucleus of their next premiership contending team.

I had the pleasure of meeting the great KB a couple weeks back. We have the same concerns. We need work horses, the Lamberts, Castangas, Grimes and Caddy’s. O’Driscoll and Briggs are those types. Just need a handful more with a bit hunger and we will be right.
