A new law, known as the Jaafari Personal Status Code, has been introduced in Iraq, raising serious concerns about women’s rights and legal protections. We urgently appeal to women’s rights organizations around the world to support Iraqi women and advocate for their rights, dignity, equality, and protection under the law. We ask the international community to listen to the voices of Iraqi women and stand with them in their pursuit of justice and equal rights
