That’s called code-switching. It usually happens when you speak multiple languages or are exposed to different accents and speech patterns. A lot of Malaysians naturally do this because we’re used to switching between languages and dialects depending on who we’re speaking with. I live in New Zealand for 28 years, and I even find myself changing my accent slightly depending on who I’m talking to. [Pray]
