@birmingham.live: ⬇️ Watch our interview with Raise the Colours co-founder Ryan Bridge. The controversial figure was at High Court yesterday (Wednesday 30 September), as Birmingham City Council were seeking an emergency injunction to stop flaggers led by him putting up more Union and St George's Cross flags on lampposts and bridges. The council has acted in the face of complaints of harassment and anti-social behaviour and claims Bridge and other flaggers have acted unlawfully for more than a year. They are accused of putting up 'unauthorised attachments' on council and highways property as part of their 'stop the boats' anti-migrant campaign. Bridge is one of seven named defendants in the civil case. The council is also seeking the injunction against an eighth 'persons unknown' defendant, as a way to ensure that anyone else who goes on to engage in the same activity in future will also be in contempt of court and liable to arrest. Yesterday’s hearing was adjourned to Monday 2 November at 10:30am - you can read everything that happened in the court on Birmingham Live. #raisethecolours🇬🇧 #birmingham #westmidlands #uknews #courts
