advice is generally 6 months and signs of readiness lovely, he doesn't seem like he's sitting by himself, tongue thrust is still there and he's not really putting food to his own mouth. I noticed he was 8 weeks premature, is he 6 months corrected? if not then it's definitely worth waiting the further 8 weeks, will give his gut some more time to mature aswell x

I think you might want to give him a couple more weeks, he doesnt seem to be interested in bringing the food to his mouth and the pushing food out is likely the tongue thrust reflex which needs to be gone before weaning to be successful xx

oh bless him! if he isnt interested in it yet, I would let him play with it more in like a tray or something but also maybe wait until he is sitting a bit more confidently in his seat. xx
