There is absolutely no need to reteact flaps during touch down. That mal practice is gonna take a toll one day.

First, I wouldn’t be nervous because I’m a pilot with 30k+ hours over 44 years in mostly fighters and commercial. He raised his flaps because the steep uphill gradient and he’s being energy efficient as he will have to take off from the top of the hill. Excellent job overall!

I flew 1000 hours in Papua New Guinea in strips like this and raising the flaps just before touchdown something we never did. Extraordinary. Something I’m missing.
