@mrswhattheheck: If you are a video sharer, please share this one. 💕 As cliche as it might sound, it COULD actually save a life. Breast cancer is on the rise, especially in younger women, who would have no reason to get a mammogram if they are in their 20’s or 30’s. This is about awareness!! #breastcancerawarenessmonth #breastcancer #cancersucks #breastcancer
2018 diagnosed Invasive ductal carcinoma. 2019 double mastectomy. In January 2026 found a lump on the cancer side and it came back Invasive ductal carcinoma again. 16 radiation treatments and body won’t tolerate the hormone blockers. Seeing a Rheumatologist this week. Just when you think it’s over and it starts all over again.

I also had itching, and that’s how I found my lump. That was three weeks ago. Diagnosis today: Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I’m 42.

You look fabulous & so glad you’re doing well! 🩷 I have been told so many times that breast cancer is usually painless, however in my case I was experiencing intermittent zingers in my right breast & axilla, no lumps could be felt. So thankful that my proactive provider listened to me and still ordered diagnostic imaging even though I had a negative annual mammogram just 5 months earlier. Cancer was ultimately discovered in both of my breasts with final pathology following a DMX in Jan ‘24. I had heterogeneous breast tissue that obscured all of my small masses that had likely gone undetected on a mammogram alone for several years according to my breast surgeon. So in sharing my story, I’d like to spread awareness to any women with dense breast tissue, to also push for secondary imaging like an ultrasound or breast MRI in addition to their mammogram to ensure your breasts are healthy!
