@cbsnews: Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten says his office was not given the results of Cornell University’s Title IX process, which he said is confidential. Cornell conducted a Title IX investigation into allegations that a former student was raped at a fraternity house in 2024. The university said the case went to a hearing and resulted in sanctions including expulsions and suspensions. The criminal investigation was initially closed without charges, but the DA’s office said Monday it would reopen the case following the woman’s civil lawsuit against Cornell and seven former fraternity members. The case will now go before a grand jury.

I don’t know if that’s true. I worked Title IX and we routinely handed over our cases/files to HPD. And Title IX is a federal standard so it should not vary state to state

This is why it's now being handled by the NY state attorney. Van Houten closed the case because he said, "I didn't know." smh
