Eating out was ruining my progress. Bloated. Overfull. Guilty. Every single time. Here’s what I finally realized ⬇️ It wasn’t the pasta. It was these restaurant mistakes that were sabotaging my fat loss: #1: Saving up all your calories for dinner I used to barely eat all day thinking I was being “good”…Then I’d show up starving and overeat everything in sight. When you walk into a restaurant ravenous, your hunger hijacks your brain. 👉 Solution: Eat balanced meals earlier in the day. You’ll make calmer, more aligned choices when you’re not running on fumes. #2: Starting with a cocktail I always ordered a drink first to “settle in.” But cocktails increase your appetite and lower your inhibition = more calories before your meal even starts. 👉 Solution: Start with a huge glass of water. If you still want a drink, fine but most of the time, you won’t even finish it. #3: Not modifying your order I thought ordering off the menu “as is” was polite. But that’s how I ended up with hidden oils, butter, sauces, and 500 extra calories I didn’t even enjoy. 👉 Solution: Ask for sauces/dressings on the side, veggies steamed instead of sautéed, and skip the buttered bun. You can make swaps without being annoying. #4: Eating past fullness because “I paid for it” The clean plate club was my default. But finishing your plate just because it’s there doesn’t serve your goals (or your digestion). 👉 Solution: Stop at 80% full. Sit for 2 minutes. Then ask yourself if you actually want more. That pause changed everything for me. Weight loss doesn’t require restriction. It requires awareness, confidence, and knowing how to navigate the real-life stuff like dinner out with friends 🫶🏻 💬 Drop a 🍝 if this helped! #nutrition #nutritiontips #weightloss #weightlosstips #eatingout #weightlosscoach
