You are playing Geopolitics my friend, u started by saying listen to this Igbo man? very funny..... Obi came out to say in plain words, remove subsidy but what are the blue print for the common man, where do you intend to spend the money gotten from subsidy removal?, guess what Tinubu removed subsidy but we are far worse off. you also said not because I love Tinubu 😂, my brother you actually love Tinubu be a proud supporters, I support Obi and I am proud to say it. Talking of Igbos, they don't support Obi, almost all the eastern Gov don't support Obi...so please leave tribalism aside.. the savior is not respected in his own house. Obi is he right choice. shalom

Daddy G :
Is this oil going to last forever? Assuming it gets depleted, what will be the alternative? For now, subsidy is a bad idea since most of the fuel get smuggled anyway. Most of Libyan fuel goes to Tunisia, just like ours find it's way to neighbouring countries during subsidy regime and we were borrowing massively to keep up.

Subsidy will rather make you poor. Oil is a global commodity and subsidy will only create loophole for smuggler. At the end of the day few smugglers will be the one enjoying the wealth of the whole country. However, government should look for a way to create benefits for people which I am on opinion that benefits like anything palliative is not an option. We want basic amenities. Infrastructure, electricity, employment and so on
