I was watching a video this morning doing a little breakdown on old uncle/grandpa CTRussel’s third book. He was TOTALLY against the coercive nature of organized religion and essentially said it stifled spiritual growth and damaged people’s consciences. Now I will say he was still a total charlatan and a grifter but at least he was more or less benevolent, which explains why he had as much of a following as he did. That old shit Rutherford and his sycophants, Knorr and Franz were the major inflection points.
