It’s not a drought. It’s drained due to water being used further south of the lake. It’s part of the Savannah River Basin. Locals in Anderson & Hartwell have been fighting it for decades to no avail.

Absolutely beautiful it's very healthy for the lake to fall creates vegetation and wildlife habitat also, whenever the lake fills back up, which it will as soon as we get rain do its new level of only 4 foot below full pool this will make for some really good fishing 🎣 if you think this is bad, you should've seen 2008 when it fell 22 feet below full pool. Mind you, it only took two weeks to fill up after that because of rain
