Also palmettos are another species of roach. I live in the mid Atlantic and have dealt with roaches as well. It’s a hell hole :(

i dealt with a termite infestation and neighbors unwilling to tent. needless to say, i left (luckily was not on a technical lease) but yeah having to sleep with lights on and having termites all over me before i realized was not fun. and the other critters they brought in… like a millipede… ON MY BED💀 yes also florida lmaoo

I have a similar experience with my current apartment. moved in and nothing for about 5 months not a single roach. then apartment company decided to do a entire building treatment all on the same day and gave everyone a weeks notice to be ready. about a quarter of the people we're not ready that day and had to be rescheduled a few days later like the neighbor to my left hasn't been home in a few weeks, and the right was not ready. I also live directly above the maintenance room that was not treated. several days later now I seen them everywhere in my apartment. thankfully my lease is up and im moving in a week, unfortunately I have to get rid of my couch and electronics, cleaning everything and putting everything in totes with weather Seal from home depot around the edge of the totes to keep them out.

Omgg I was in the exact same situation like word for word. My mom was the one who came to my rescue and stood up for me. I ended up leaving the complex as a whole😭😭
