is there evidence that these can “dramatically” reduce your exposure? I know there were some serious criticisms of that plastic water bottle study. my understanding is that almost all ingested microplastics come from water (or food containing water) that contains microplastics, and the water picks it up primarily from road runoff from car tires.

Don't forget the closet. Choosing natural fibers like cotton over synthetic fabrics can help limit microplastic exposure.
