I'm always early. I'm always finishing things quicker than I thought I was going to finish them. Sometimes a minute feels like an hour, and sometimes an hour feels like a minute. because of this, I make sure that I leave earlier than I think i'm going to need to be there. I have been as much as three hours early to appointments with the honest belief that I was ten minutes late.

okay so time blindness is simply the inability to notice the passage of time, you will never be early the problem is is that when you think 5 minutes has gone by, 6 hours actually went by.. that's time blindness

it's not about struggling knowing what time it is and that you have to be somewhere, it's about getting so hyper-fixated on something you're doing that you lose track of time entirely, thus you're late all the time

It's impossible to use time blindness as an excuse for anything in the age of smartphones where you can set alarms for literally everything.

anxiety used to make me arrive too early to things 🙃 now im more careless and distracted. anxiety with adhd, anxiety was the winning stresser. Managed the anxiety but still had adhd... now easier with meds for adhd unless im focused on something pointless.

we have a kid like thos at work if you send him to get a part or tool it takes him an hour to get back when someone else could do it in 5 minutes

If only there was a device that you could check at anytime that would tell you what time it is. And maybe you could set it to make a noise when you have to do something. And it would be awesome if you could keep it on your wrist so it was even more convenient and virtually hands free. And if only it cost like $30 and you could get it at Walmart when you get your groceries. Man, that would be amazing.

I know somebody like that and we just stopped hanging out with them and they’ve told others that it’s because we’re unsympathetic to their issues. They also conveniently leave their wallets at home every time we hang out. Some people are just assholes

it has nothing to do with telling time... you'll look at the clock and say okay I still have an hour to work do something like dishes that should take 30 minutes look back at the time say oh crap I'm 15 minutes late. think of it like this a normal person can gauge kind of what a half hour feels like I will look back at the clock to make sure they're not late to someone that's "blind" when it feels like it's 15 minutes an hour will pass by

time blindness is a bad name for it. its hyperfocus and doing tasks for longer than you meant to and forget to check the clock causing you to be late which can inversely cause paralysis where you have something you have to do later so you cant do anything before hand so you dont make yourself late.
