This is why Trump capped student loans. No one should ever be able to take out this much money for a degree, period. No degree can pay off that much debt. If you make it to where no one can take out that much, the universities will be forced to reduce their tuition or else they won’t have students

I paid off my $322k law school loans at age 36 without a free penny from the government. Just threw as much as I could at it. You can do it too! It’s feels good.

If I were in that situation I would have joined the military JAG, Army pays $65K of those loans off and the balance would be taken care of with public service loan forgiveness. Do 20, retire debt free with a retirement check, start a law firm or work for one.

People do get their student loans forgiven through the public service loan forgiveness program. I think sometimes Dave Ramsey discourages people from that program. and mischaracterizes it.

I disagree with the dinner parties it’s worth it for you to go because it gives you a chance to meet people and expand your network. Those are the people who will think of you and call you when they have jobs or opportunities.
