@cbsnews: Palestinians held a mass funeral on Thursday in Gaza City for more than 100 people whose remains were recovered from beneath the rubble of a residential building hit by an Israeli strike nearly three years ago. More than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed there since October 2023, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, when Israeli forces launched its military assault on the territory in response to Hamas' Oct 7 attack on Israel. The total death toll in Gaza is thought to be much higher as thousands more Palestinians are believed to remain buried beneath rubble, with the United Nations estimating that more than 80% of the territory's buildings destroyed or damaged.
