@torch1982: Oct. 1, 2026 — Vladimir Putin spoke at the plenary session of the XXIII annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club. This year's theme: "Responsibility for the Future: Limits of the Possible or Possibilities Without Limit?" Key statements: 🔹 A turning point — "The world has reached a decisive, turning point in its development. And it's far from just politics — it is derivative of deep changes." 🔹 New world order — "Sooner or later, everyone in the world — East and West, North and South — will have to agree on the principles of a new world order." 🔹 Global peace first — "Alarming trends in international affairs force us to think first and foremost about how to preserve global peace and security right now." 🔹 UN reform — Russia supports a "just reform" of the UN, but it's impossible without consensus, which is "now difficult to achieve." 🔹 AI warning — "Digital totalitarianism will be just as dark and a dead end as past examples of totalitarian societies." 🔹 Risks ahead — "The continuation of conflicts is, unfortunately, highly likely. In the strategic perspective, the world situation will change for the better." 🔹 On Kaliningrad — Peskov earlier said Putin gave a full set of instructions to ensure security in the Kaliningrad region. #Putin #Valdai #ValdaiClub #Russia #NewWorldOrder
