@tamipawsdallas: LONG-TERM FOSTERS AND RESCUES NEEDED! Per Duck Team 6 Ramsey, Harvey and Dallas were all part of this crew... They lived alongside these dogs, surviving the same streets, the same hunger, and the same uncertainty. Today, Ramsey, Harvey and Dallas are safe. They had a foster and a rescue. But their friends are still out there... In one of the worst parts of South Dallas. We have made several urgent pleas for Krueger, a younger shepherd mix with a devastatingly painful leg injury. He cannot bear weight on it, and we fear it may be broken. He is severely underweight and starving. And then there are Loretta and Molly Mae. Two girls who are also out there, trying to survive. It is presumed that Loretta recently had puppies. We have not spotted them but will do our best to determine if she does in fact have any. Recently, our volunteers had to stand there and painfully watch Krueger, Loretta, and Molly Mae all attempt to eat inside the trap at same time. Three starving dogs. Three faces we know. Three dogs who were finally close enough to touch safety but we had nowhere for them to go. And that is one of the hardest parts of street rescue. We cannot just catch them without a plan. We cannot bring them into safety without a foster or rescue ready to take responsibility for what comes next. So our volunteers stand there, watching them eat, knowing they are hungry, knowing Krueger is hurt, knowing Loretta and Molly Mae are struggling to survive and then having to leave them behind. It is heartbreaking to say the least. Because once you look into their eyes, they aren’t just “three street dogs” anymore. They are Krueger. Loretta. Molly Mae. And we want what Ramsey, Harvey and Dallas got for them, too. A safe place. A full belly. A warm bed. Medical care. Someone to love them. A chance to finally stop surviving and start living. We are desperately looking for fosters AND rescues willing to step up for these three. Please... if you can foster, know a rescue that can help, or can connect us to someone who can, don’t wait. We are offering $450 donation for each to the 501c3 rescue(s) who take these sweet pups in. [email protected] Please help us make sure Krueger, Loretta, and Molly Mae do, too DISCLAIMER: This situation is not a typical case for Duck Team 6. We typically do not have the equipment or man power to handle multiple dog cases. This is also a unique situation where we feel confident that we can trap each individually without scaring the others or having them relocate.
