I’m continuing to experiment with the animation at the beginning of my videos :) I hope you enjoy this one. Flight is one of the most remarkable things evolution has ever produced. Butterflies move through the air with wings so thin they almost look too fragile to work. Birds constantly adjust the shape and angle of their wings, turning air into lift with incredible precision. Bats evolved wings from modified forelimbs, using a flexible membrane stretched across elongated fingers. Powered flight emerged independently in several branches of life. Insects were flying hundreds of millions of years before birds appeared. Pterosaurs, birds and bats later developed their own ways to rise into the air. For thousands of years, humans watched birds and other flying animals. We saw them glide, turn and gain altitude, and began to imagine doing the same. Early flying machines drew inspiration from wings, feathers and bird movement. Nature continues to influence engineering today. We often think of flight as a human invention because we built airplanes, helicopters and spacecraft. The dream of flying began much earlier, with people looking up at the sky and imagining what it would feel like to leave the ground. Our machines grew from observations of a natural ability that life had been refining for hundreds of millions of years. #Flight #Evolution #Nature #edit#Engineering
