I’m not saying what they did was right, because taking someone’s life is wrong, period. And yes, there should be consequences and accountability. But what I am saying is, we can’t say killing is wrong and then turn around and celebrate when another life is taken. The Word says, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” — Romans 12:19. And Ezekiel 33:11 tells us that God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. We can want justice for the victim and their family without having revenge in our hearts. Justice calls for accountability; revenge desires another person’s suffering. There is a difference. At the end of the day, God is the ultimate Judge, and He gets the final say. 🙏🏽
