@chronically.rach: In honor of Dysautonomia Awareness Month 🤍 With all of the discourse online lately surrounding invisible illness, and POTS especially, I think this month feels extra important. It’s easy to make assumptions about an illness you can’t physically see. It’s easy to look at someone on a good day, see a 30 second video, or see a smiling photo and decide they must be “fine.” But dysautonomia can affect so much more than what meets the eye. For me, POTS has meant appointments, hospital visits, medications, learning my limits, grieving parts of my old life, and slowly figuring out how to live differently. And I know there are so many people with dysautonomia carrying their own version of that story. So this month, I hope people choose curiosity over judgment. I hope more people take the time to learn what dysautonomia actually is, and understand that looking okay and feeling okay are two very different things. Happy Dysautonomia Awareness Month to everyone living a reality most people will never fully see. #pots #dysautonomia #chronicillness #invisableillness #fyp

I have POTS but I have learned to manage it and know the signs of a flare up, and for the last few months I've been able to enjoy life again ❤️

What were some early signs you experienced? I currently have to take 2 types of BP meds and I literally feel so exhausted all the time I’m constantly tired and if I stand for more than like 20 seconds I feel out of breath. I did just give birth but I never had this with my son and I’ve been in and out of hospitals for the symptoms I’ve been having I feel almost like I’m gonna have a heart attack and pass out but they told me it’s just anxiety and panic attacks so I’m on meds for that but it still doesn’t explain the exhaustion with even standing for a few seconds but I was just curious what ur first signs were that u experience

Thank you for sharing and spreading awareness 🫶 POTS has challenged me in so many ways and has changed my outlook on life. Although it is extremely challenging and discouraging at times, I am thankful for the good days I have and will continue to push forward! I hope you know that you are doing great, and are helping so many people by sharing this.
