My son is 6’4” 260 pounds quite a bit bigger than me. But I couldn’t act scared if he came at me I had to stand my ground and puff out my chest and not feel fear at all. He normally backs down.

My worries too. Thats why setting certain ground rules from young age is important or atleast i hope it works anyway. Since my daughter turned 7 she has been screaming, hitting, breaking things when upset. Noone warned me about terrible 7s. lol Hates the word No!

As a special education educator for 20 years. Nip it in the bud when they are little. I had a student in elementary school that was the sweetest. Saw him in middle school and was so violent. 😢.

Hi! check out the free rbt training on autism partnership foundations website! You dont have to pursue it, but it's definitely useful to learn. It covers all kinds of things to help with behavioral incidents and helps you learn methods to effectively assist with redirection.
