@amber.accountability: Cash budgeting is uncomfortable, but it forces a change in behavior when you truly stick to it. If you tell yourself, “I’m done when it’s gone” and stick to it; you’ll find ways to make your budget work for you versus feeling like you’re playing the catch up game with your finances. Although it is so much easier to swipe a card and move on with the day, there’s something about physically seeing what you have during each transaction that truly helps me practice more self control with my finances. Have you ever cash budgeted? If not, what’s holding you back?? #debtpayoffjourney #debtfreejourney #debt #debtfree #cashstuffing
Been Doing This For 5 Years Now . I’ve Paid Off My Car, Medical Debt & Now Student Loans . It HAS HELPED ME ‼️I Wouldn’t Change It To No Other Method .

Woah! I’m so early! I should try this sometime because I struggle with sticking with our budget. I think a big part of my problem is we have no solid goal we are working towards. Just a general “save more” which isn’t very motivating 🤪

I always used the envelope method when I first moved out when I was in my early 20’s.

I should try this too. I am working with a weekly budget. But sometimes when I see a great deal like our coffee for a lot less money, I buy a lot so we have enough for the whole month. I don't really know how to do that with a cash budget. The first week we sometimes go over budget but the rest of the month we stay under budget.

I try to do as much as I can with cash… everyone says I’m old school but it keeps me more accountable

I hope to get to using cash one day. I still don’t have enough money to pay all my regular bills per month. But we’re on our way.😢

Also … reviewing purchases and noting how much you spend on unnecessary categories is a part of being comfortable with the uncomfortable. The amounts we spent on fast food and other unnecessary items was jaw dropping. I started color coating my excel sheets (red - unnecessary/ yellow - somewhat necessary/ green - necessary)

Cash envelopes didn’t work for us because I didn’t feel safe having all that cash around, but I use Crew to manage our budgets with a debit card. It’s amazing!!
