The Javits Center this weekend is basically a different universe every 10 feet. Nobody does creativity quite like the Anime NYC crowd. 🎨 You can go from an entire My Hero Academia squad lineup, to Haganezuka physically dragging Tanjiro across the show floor, past a giant @friskies cat mascot, which we absolutely loved because, as cat owners ourselves, we’re obviously biased 🐱, then suddenly find yourself surrounded by full Sailor Moon and Soul Eater displays before Darth Vader casually walks by like it’s completely normal. That’s what I love about Anime NYC. Everywhere you turn, someone has brought another character, world, or idea to life. The hair, makeup, costumes, props, and pure dedication behind these cosplays are unreal. You can tell how much time and love went into every detail, and seeing all of that creativity take over the middle of New York City is honestly one of the best parts of the whole event. And it’s not just the cosplay. The show floor is packed with vendors selling everything from action figures and collectibles to artwork, accessories, and things you absolutely did not plan on buying until you saw them. There’s also no shortage of food to keep you going through a full day of walking, browsing, and slowly destroying your budget. THERE’S STILL TIME: Saturday: 10 AM to 7 PM Sunday: 10 AM to 4 PM 📍 Javits Center, NYC Check the official Anime NYC website or official resale options for any remaining single-day badges. ⚠️ PRO TIP FOR BADGE PICKUP: Save yourself the headache and do not waste time traveling to different retailer locations hoping they still have badges. Those locations can sell out quickly, especially if you’re not already in the city.
