@policeug: This morning, AIGP Mwesigwa Frank, the Director of Operations, represented the Inspector General of Police, at the commissioning of Makulubita Sub-County Police Station in Luwero District. The fully fledged police facility, complete with accommodation for officers, was constructed through the generosity of H.E. Alhaji Farid Kaliisa, Uganda’s Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo. This is a commendable demonstration of community partnership and a shared commitment to public safety. Such partnerships are instrumental in strengthening the relationship between the Police and the communities we serve. Addressing the officers deployed at the station, AIGP Mwesigwa emphasised that the true value of the facility would ultimately be measured by the quality of service rendered to the public. He urged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, integrity and accountability, cautioning them against turning the station into a place where people fear to seek assistance or where justice comes at a price. He further challenged the officers to remain accessible, fair and firm in dealing with criminals, while ensuring that every member of the public is treated with dignity and respect. He called upon residents to actively support the Police through timely information sharing, participation in crime prevention initiatives, and sustained mutual respect and cooperation.
