Sorry if this is stupid haha, what you’re saying re bad debts so pt owes £400, 50/50 split but 100% in you for bad debts - if you pay the £400, won’t you still only be paying 50% because you would get £200 back in your pay because your 50/50 from payments?

The “mile radius” thing makes no sense to me since we are self employed and where patients go is entirely up to them. With retention fees it’s better to have a cap on them so that you don’t get screwed over. But I understand that’s not always possible with complete private practices

all of these things r fair tbh apart from the x mile radius thing and having to cover full lab cost for a repair/remake. Practice should be fair with things like that

Dr Anisha BDS :
Most practices won’t enforce the radius rule, it will cost them more to contest it than it’s worth. You’re self employed at the end of the day. If patients locate you without you actively providing your new info then that’s their prerogative

dentistry in the uk is such a scam guys... as someone from europe who registered with the gdc and has tried finding smth, all the contracts i've seen have been absolutely WILD. reparations to me is another stupid clause. guarantees for any kind of medical procedure is not ethical. i dunno what's going on over there but y'all are seriously getting fcked over and nhs is a joke.

The last practice I worked at there was a 15 mile restrictive covenant 🤪 arsehole, insecure practice principle. And over one year holiday requests subject to approval 🤪🤪🤪😳
