Just so everyone’s clear what he’s talking about is a new type of Apple wallet accept it processes pennys instead of pounds. x402 will still require the wallet system to be downloaded and installed by all party’s in order for the process to work then it’s just AI taking the micro transactions so you could make a how to guide or a hobbies booklet ect and you can upload it and put this new x402 payment button on it just like a normal pay here button and instead of charging pounds which is needed currently as there are fees ect to factor in like transaction charges service charges ect so pennys doesn’t make sense. With the x402 tech it handle micro transactions so you can literally focus on volume and it adds up to loads the idea is that the Ai agents are sent out by us to track down info or find products ect and basically you charge the AI to grab that info but your charging 0.00001p per transaction imagine google charging 0.00001p for each search result it’s millions and millions. You still need something people want, they still need to have the payment structure set up both ends and the buyer still needs to confirm they’re happy to be charged the small amount your charging them.

Whatever lives behind that pay wall needs to be really really high value for the user of their AI agent to want to make the payment though. This is cool tech, but its just another way of taking payment for a service. The problem of creating something of value that a customer would want to pay for still stands, and that is just as difficult as always. I'm not sure this creates a new opportunity. Maybe it does? If we can blag someone's agent into paying on behalf of them. I can't think of a legit way to make money off this without first creating something of value, which could be monetised in many ways already. Nice vid though, didn't know this existed
